How do I run StepMania on an Xbox?

StepMania will only run on a mod-chipped or soft-modded Xbox. For legal reasons, we cannot distribute an executable of StepMania for Xbox. Try looking for it on IRC.. Perhaps google "xbins".

What is a mod chip and where do I get one?

How do I Soft-Mod My Xbox?/What is softmodding?

Having a softmodded xbox allows you to have (most) of the features of a Chipped xbox without paying $60 for a chip. (normally by means of replacing your dashboard)

There are several methods of softmodding an xbox. Most ways can be found Here, also.. Watch this video (actual method may differ, depending what installer you use.)

Support for Stepmania on Xbox

The Xbox "version" of Stepmania is not, and will not, be officially supported by the Stepmania developers. Nor will we EVER distribute ANY binary labeled as "Official". The Xbox version is developed just for the sake of it, and will never be developed in any official manner.
