Phase 1 Judging Instructions

This email was sent to StepMania developers who are eligible to judge in the contest.

Who can judge?

• Anybody on this mailing list can be a judge.
• If you'd like to judge, please reply with a quick message so that I can have a count of judges.
• Each judge will receive a StepMania t-shirt or the value of a StepMania t-shirt via PayPal (your choice) as compensation.

• Please download this song pack, even if you have downloaded the StepMix 5 songs previously. This pack weeds out disqualified entries and makes the music wheel match the scorecard order.

• The scorecard is for your own tracking to narrow down your top entries. You do not need to submit the scorecard for this judging phase.

Create a list of your top 20 entries:

• Each judge should create a list of their 20 favorite entries using the judging criteria.
• You don't need to write down a precise score or even order your top 20 entries - just come up with a list of 20 in any order.
• 1 point will be awarded to each entry in each judge's list.

Who can judge in the finals?

• If you judged in phase 1, you can judge in the finals.

• This contains only the finalist entries and matches the scorecard order.

• Fill in your scores for each entry.

Submit:

• Reply to me privately (please don't Reply All).
• Attach your score card.
• Include your preferred t-shirt size (small, medium, large, extra-large)
• Include your full name and mailing address so that I can ship the StepMania shirt to you.
• The submission deadline is Sunday, July 24th, 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time (a little over 2 weeks from today)
